Ever wonder what to do with all your leftover junk, or things you no longer have a need for? Sure you can donate them to local charities, or just take the simple route and put them out for the trash, or there is a great new grassroots effort out there to consider.
FindCNY.com has recently been made aware of a great new website out there called FreeCycle.org. The premise is simple, you can go thee and sign up for your free account then post anything you have to give away in your specific region, or go there to look for something you may be wanting and see if someone is offering to ‘recycle’ that. The premise this website has is simple, by offering your items that you would typically throw out, Freecycle is preventing items being thrown in the landfills, therefore helping the environment. Pretty simple idea, yes?
I highly recommend you check out there site and the next time your cleaning our your garage, or wondering what to do with those left over garage sale item this summer, become a free member of Freecycle, and start offering them to others in your area for free. You never know who out there could truly use the item you view as useless anymore!
